Seattle Women's Hockey Club

We welcome all women who want to play ice hockey! Our members have a wide range of hockey experience, from none at all to about 15 years. We have approximately 40 current members, and are growing all the time...

The SWHC 2007 - 2008 season begins Tuesday, September 11. Our schedule for the month of September will be as follows:

  • Tuesday, Sept 11: 8:25pm - 9:25pm Practice at Castle
  • Thursday, Sept 13: 9:15pm - 10:15pm Practice at Castle
  • Tuesday, Sept 18: 9:40pm - 10:40pm Practice at Castle
  • Thursday, Sept 20: 9:15pm - 10:15pm Practice at Castle
  • Tuesday, Sept 25: 8:25pm - 9:25pm Practice at Castle
  • Thursday, Sept 27: 9:15pm - 10:15pm Practice at Castle
    Please check the schedule for practice and game schedules. In addition, the club travels to two tournaments each year.

    Pricing Options
    All players must pay a non-refundable $75 registration fee to cover USA Hockey registration and player administration costs. This fee also reserves a player a place in the club and must be paid before the first practice. Full club membership is on a first-come first serve basis for placement on a team- the first 15 members are on a team, others are placed on a waiting list/practice-only basis until there is enough interest for another full team. (The non-refundable $75 may be refunded if circumstances which are beyond the control of the SWHC board require a change in ice times and location. If the new times and/or location prevent you from participating at your, anticipated level and you decide not to join, a refund request must be made before SWHCs first practice.)

    In addition to the registration fee, the amount owed in dues depends on your membership option, which must be one of the following:

    Full club member $650 per season
    This member plays either a forward or defense position and is a voting member of the Seattle Women's Hockey Club. Her dues cover the costs for:

  • All full-club practices and all team practices for the skater's team
  • All game ice, both home and away
  • All tournament registration fees

    Goalie $125 per season
    This member plays in goal and is not a voting member of the Seattle Women's Hockey Club. Her dues cover the costs for:

  • All full-club practices and all team practices for the goalie's team
  • All game ice, both home and away
  • All tournament registration fees

    Practice-only member $425 per season
    This member plays either a forward or defense position and is not a voting member of the Seattle Women's Hockey Club. Her dues cover the costs for:

  • 3 practices every 2 weeks
  • A practice-only member may play in a game if the bench is not full for a fee of $15 per game.

    Payment
    First half of dues are due in September (date to be determined).
    You will not be allowed to step on the ice without payment.
    Second half of dues are be due in October (date to be determined).
    You will neither be allowed to step on the ice, nor attend the fall tournament without payment.
